Actually, to be fair, the scientists’ answers were far better on the question of salt dissolving, but for the rest of them, they generally weren’t really that much closer than for the non-scientists. I counted several answers from the non-scientists that were as correct as any given by their counterparts. Don’t let your enthusiasm for highlighting the rather obvious disparity in discipline-specific knowledge between those trained in that field and those who are not lead you to trumpet a poor example as proof.
